Overview

Our client is a 144-bed facility that provides comprehensive medical
services through emergency room visits, inpatient admissions, outpatient
procedures and community outreach programs. Our
services include an award-winning cardiovascular program, a fully
accredited cancer center, NAPBC-accredited breast health center, an
acute inpatient rehabilitation center, and a large robotic surgery
center. Our client is accredited by The Joint Commission and
has been recognized for its quality outcomes and clinical expertise
across services lines that include joint replacement surgery, advanced
heart failure care, and the designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be one who has a proven record of dedication to patient care, experience with teaching, and whose interests include clinical and quality improvement research. The Neonatologist must also possess outstanding interpersonal skills and have a proven experience of work in a team focused environment. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a Level 2B unit and cares for infants who are born at 32 weeks' gestation or greater. Our hospital has over 1000 deliveries and the NICU has over 100 admissions each year. The NICU is staffed 24 hours a day by a team of 4 board-certified neonatologists and 1 neonatal nurse practitioner. The neonatologists also provide coverage of the Newborn Nursery. The unit’s registered nurses have an average of 10 years’ experience in neonatal intensive care. Our current group operates on a 24-hour shift schedule, with an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner in-house some nights to allow for beeper call from home, which affords a great work-life balance.
