Top Client in need of Director of Critical Care Stepdown

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides departmental leadership, improves organizational performance, manages environment of care, budget, staffing, and quality of care. Works under the supervision of the CNO.

The Director of Critical Care Stepdown serves as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality care to all patients. The Director is responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards and other regulatory agencies, complying with corporate policy and procedures, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers. Assists in the day-today operations of the department. Including performance improvement, resource management, staff competency, physician relations, strategic planning, patient safety, and budget.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
