Job Description

Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Required qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire
  • 5 years' Recent RN work experience within an acute care setting
  • 2 years' Recent RN work experience within the specialty area and leadership experience (examples can include charge/clinical coordinator)
  • Specialty certification, approved from ANCC.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $145,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
